The MJ Grand Hotel East Legon on the 6th of August 2016 was clad with the glamour and class as Mode PR and Events brought together fashion enthusiast and jewelry lovers for the maiden edition of the African Jewelry and Accessories Fashion Week .The show began with the spectacular show of designs as guest walked and graced the red carpet for pictures. .The event which was proudly sponsored by Black Up gifted guest with branded souvenirs as they took their seats.AFRICAN JEWELRY AND ACCESSORIES FASHION WEEK
The set up for the red carpet was indeed wonderful and complimented the glamorous theme of the event. The make-up of the models was perfect as I recommend Black Up for their immense support to the event. However, I would like to make known my displeasure as the lights for the events were bad and also the shoes that some models wore for the runway were worn out and bad.
The event began as models took to the runway cladded in designs and neckpieces from the first Designer “EGUDZI”. The collection which was inspired by the sheer grace, sophistication and pizzazz of the modern African woman, featured exotic Eurasian gems that produced the elegance of wearer.
Confidence, uniqueness as well as assertiveness indeed was the message communicated to our audience as models rocked varieties of fashion accessories from the house of” ALIKOTO CLOTHING”. The collection which combined the growing culture of Ghanaians and creativity told a story of glam and excellence.
“SNAQ CREATIONS “showcased a collection of perfectly designed and handcrafted beaded jewelry with a blend of local and foreign beads and materials. The designs did truly lived up to its fame as “SNAQ CREATIONS “inspires irresistible and exquisite pieces.
Classy beaded Jewelries and fabric accessories were gallantly displayed to the awe of all those present as “AFIYO CREATIONS” collections were displayed as models took to the runway. The designs were perfect as they brought not only the creativity of the designer but the inspirations behind them.
The trendy yet fashionable collection from “RENY’S GLITTERS” was one every one present could relate to. The collections featured as range of fashion accessories such as beaded necklaces and bracelets were made to make the wearer’s look their very best.
Bold, beautiful and colorful were the words use to describe the wonderful collection from “SELINA BEB” as she drew the curtains on the show. Her collection won the admiration of all present as the collection featured as range of amazing bags, footwear as well as jewelries.
