Omotola Turns Forty 40 And Unapologetic with New Age

CNN calls her one of the most recognizable faces in African cinema, Yahoo Named her one of the highest grossing actresses in Africa, Uk Telegraph calls her the queen of Nollywood.

Nollywood Star Actress, Singer and Philanthropist Omotola Jalade Ekeinde turn forty today seventh February and it’s  been forty years of hard work and dedication to the arts and creating this very unblemished brand for herself. Omotola was born on February seventh, 1978, she’s married to Pilot Matthew Ekeinde and together they have four kids.  She made her Nollywood debut back in 1995 and has gone on to start in over 300 films, she’s one of the most recognized faces in Nollywood and her craft isn’t just being recognized here in Africa but also in Hollywood America where she was featured in Vh1’s hit the floor.

Jalade is also known for her philanthropic work across Africa as she’s worked with United Nations in bringing awareness to the maternal mortality rate in Africa and also the One campaign. The ONE Campaign is an international, nonpartisan, non-profit, advocacy and campaigning organization that fights extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa. In 2013 Omotola was named one of the most Influential people in the world by TIME magazine alongside Hollywood top-notch influencers.  She’s often called the Julia Roberts of Africa and she’s won all of the top awards In Africa.

Omo sexy as she’s popularly called is also a fashion icon whose style has continued to evolve over the years and have worked with various designers and stylists including Beyonce’s stylist Tyrone. As she turns forty today, omotola plans on giving back to the society as much as she can with the omotola 4.0 movement.  Africa and the world are yet to see the best of omotola as she will continue to make major moves and contribute immensely to the arts.
