Growing A Niche For Your Fashion Brand

Starting a fashion brand may seem to be the easiest thing to do when you have the capital to kick start the brand. It’s necessary for one to know their target audience to be able to provide unique services to their client and also stand out among the bunch in the fashion industry. Lately, people turn out to be fashion designers once they are able to follow a trend but these brands are not able to stand the test of time. They die out or wetter easily because they couldn’t find exactly what they could produce .

Knowing Your Niche: finding your niche as a fashion designer is just like choosing your music genre. Hip pop, soul, afro beat and r & b. If you are starting your brand, you need to find what you are good at and stick with it eg street wear, bridal, prêt a porter, shoes and accessories? These are few of which one can identify their fashion brands with. Since you do not want to confuse your audience with your identity.For instance yesterday you were a bridal designer and today you are a street wear brand. How do you want your fans to associate with you?

Not to say every shoe with a red sole is louboutin but his shoes are identifiable with the red sole. Your identity should be that thing everyone wants to associate themselves with .

 

Identify Your Consumers: social media platforms (re: facebook, twitter and instagram) can be very helpful in gaining access to further research your actual customers, their lifestyle and interests. Learning all that will be a beneficial tool to know how and where you should reach out for sales. Finally, it is also advisable to carefully choose which brand events to part- take. fashion week, bazaars or pop up sales and presentations. These events usually help the brand to associate with consumers and also attract new ones.However, it is important to know the niche of every event before you sign on. will the event niche help your brand? How will the event benefit your brand? with this, one can consider being part of a show or not. No one wants to invest wrongly so be wise about it.
