Marché Noir Lomé–Paris Bridges Heritage and Circular Fashion

Marché Noir Lomé–Paris is a circular fashion and vintage brand founded by Amah Ayivi, blending West African heritage with European style through curated vintage, upcycled fashion, and artisanal craftsmanship. Born in Lomé, Togo, Ayivi moved to Paris at the age of 12, where his passion for vintage clothing grew. Inspired by both his African roots and Parisian culture, he created the brand to promote sustainability, creativity, and cultural exchange.

Originally launched as a Paris pop-up, Marché Noir sources quality second-hand garments from West Africa and transforms them through upcycling and collaborations with artists and designers. By giving existing pieces a new life, the brand demonstrates how fashion can embrace both craftsmanship and conscious consumption while celebrating African creativity.

Today, Marché Noir operates between Lomé, Paris, and international pop-ups, building a global community around circular fashion and responsible design. Through its thoughtful approach to vintage and upcycling, the brand continues to redefine contemporary fashion while connecting heritage, sustainability, and style.
