Nigerian Stylist Kayito Nwokedi Is Changing Haute Couture Narrative in Nigeria

The effort to democratize high fashion was launched into the budding Nigerian fashion industry to idolize the concept of creativity and individual expression. The pompous and grandiose profile of Couture was always attractive to the nouveau riche.

Kayito Nwokedi is a Fashion stylist, writer and a fashion contributor whose work in the Nigerian fashion scene is evident.

A look at his new spread, the editorial was created to exude the opulence of traditional haute couture, but with a dark and approachable edge.

Within the editorial, couture touches such as hand-embroidered garments, exuberant techniques, and luxurious fabrics can be seen.
