The West African Fashion Council has announced its official launch date. The ceremony is taking place at the Ecobank Headquarters, Accra on the 15th of September, 2022.
The launch event will also see a summit themed “Growing With Women in Handicraft”. This summit is geared towards the empowerment of the modern woman artisan to be financially independent.
Speaking at the event will be the CEO of Smile Airline and WAFC’s chairman, Dr. Nze Alexander Nwuba.
The West Africa Fashion Council is a not-for-profit industry body promoting excellence in creativity, business, and education to a global audience.
Based in west Africa and formed in 1983, the WAFC is funded by industry patrons, commercial sponsors, and the government including the Ministry of Tourism and the West Africa Regional Development Fund. It leads the industry through creative influence and is strategically repositioning our fashion in the global fashion economy.
