HFR’s 17th annual Fashion Show and Style Awards will be held on September 3 in Harlem.
The event, themed “Night of the Legends,” aims to celebrate trailblazing designers, influential fashion icons, and the creativity that shapes the future of fashion. The specific location will be kept private until closer to the event date.
This year’s presenting designers include Aaron Potts, LaTouche, and Nicole Benefield, with Boss serving as the title sponsor. A special highlight of the evening will be the showcase of the Naomi x Boss 2.0 capsule collection. Naomi Campbell has developed a strong partnership with the brand over recent seasons, and the fall 2024 capsule features “laid-back pieces that are luxurious and performance-oriented, with a focus on innovative materials and elevated details,” according to HFR.
The first Naomi x Boss collection, launched in February, included essentials with modern silhouettes, the brand’s signature tailoring, outerwear, custom technical fabrics, leisure styles, and footwear.
The Style Awards will honor Shiona Turini as Stylist of the Year, Samira Nasir of Harper’s Bazaar as Editor of the Year, and Naomi Campbell as Icon of the Year. Additionally, LVMH will present the Virgil Abloh Award for the third consecutive year, honoring the late fashion designer and entrepreneur known for his contributions to streetwear and luxury fashion. The recipient of this year’s award has yet to be announced.
“We are deeply grateful for the many years of support from our audience in highlighting and honoring multicultural talent. This year, we have some remarkable honorees. We value their impact and want to acknowledge their contribution to fashion at this event,”
said Brandice Daniels, CEO of Harlem’s Fashion Row.
