After four years at the helm, Ib Kamara is saying goodbye to his role as Editor-in-Chief at Dazed.
His final issue for the London-based fashion mag drops in June, but there’s no word yet on who’s taking over.
Ib Kamara, who’s also the Art & Image Director at Off-White (a role he took on after Virgil Abloh’s passing), stepped into the Dazed EIC position in 2021. Over the years, he’s been a champion of fresh creative talent, giving emerging artists and designers a platform to shine. He’s also used the magazine to spotlight major social issues—women’s rights, LGBTQ+ rights, Indigenous rights, environmental activism, and protests against police brutality and hijab bans—pushing fashion media as a tool for real change.
“I’ll always be honored to have been part of this iconic platform,”
Kamara shared. “I’m excited to see what’s next for Dazed as the baton gets passed and more doors open for the next wave of creatives.”
