Kenneth Ize, a Nigerian fashion designer and finalist for the LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy) Prize 2019, is set to release this gender-neutral collection on Karl Lagerfeld’s website and Farfetch.com.
Designer said that he first encountered Karl because his boss undeliberately dragged him towards liking Karl because he did so himself. As a teenager, he had always been inspired by the designer, but unfortunately had not met him before his passing.
Known for his play of print and pattern, Kenneth takes inspiration from African culture for this collection. Although it is very different from the Karl Lagerfeld brand, it is undeniably a collection he would enjoy because of his open-mindedness as well as the fresh approach the collection takes.
A number of images from the photoshoots depict expressions of intimacy and love as well as how Karl Lagerfeld executes the stunning ‘almost kissing pose’.
