Prince Gyasi is a Ghanaian visual artist and photographer from Accra, internationally recognised for creating vibrant, emotionally driven images using only an iPhone. He is also the founder of Boxed Kids, a non-profit organisation that supports underprivileged children through education and creativity, reflecting his belief in art as a tool for empowerment and social impact.
Inspired by synesthesia, Gyasi’s work is distinguished by its bold use of colour to communicate hope, emotion, and healing. His photography frequently explores themes of childhood, family, and the resilience of Ghanaian communities, transforming everyday moments into powerful visual narratives that resonate with audiences around the world.
Gyasi has earned global recognition as a TIME Next Generation Leader and became the first Black photographer to shoot the iconic Pirelli Calendar. His creative vision has also led to collaborations with leading brands including Apple, Balmain, Off-White, and Converse. Through both his artistic practice and Boxed Kids, Prince Gyasi continues to use creativity to tell meaningful stories while inspiring positive social change.
