Over the weekend, Ghana-based international designer, Nadrey Laurent showcased a women’s collection during their fashion presentation at the just concluded Mercedes-Benz Fashion week, Accra.
The presentation which was centered at the main entrance of the Ballroom of the prestigious Movenpick Ambassador Hotel welcomed us to a night of fashion in grand style. The set up was made up of mannequins and models all styled in Nadrey Laurent with the audience treated to exotic cocktails while we enjoyed the show.
The show started off a little late but was underway in no time as the Nadrey Laurent team led by their creative director; Marie Kipre worked tirelessly to ensure the show was a success no matter the challenge.
The collection dubbed “ORIGINE” which means “roots” or “historic background” is inspired by the mother nation of the brand, Cote D’Ivoire. Colours of the Ivorian flag like green, orange and white were put into play and the silhouettes used portray the confident, simple yet sophisticated nature of the African community.
The collection featured lots of flowery patterns, fringed details as well as classic dresses for the confident, elegant woman that would have her as the center of attention wherever she goes. The presentation wowed us and left us wanting more with lots of people taking photos and videos.
Shooting this presentation was a joy as the Nadrey Laurent team put together an aesthetically unique show with beautiful models, interacting wonderfully with artistically placed mannequins and dresses that would leave any woman feeling on top of the world.
