Akt London secures $7M to fuel U.S. expansion and sustainable innovation.

British deodorant brand Akt London has secured $7 million in funding from Felix Capital, a London-based venture capital firm, to accelerate its expansion into the U.S. market and drive innovation in sustainable personal care products.

This latest investment brings the total funding raised by the brand since its inception in 2020 to $10 million.

Founded by West End performers Andy Coxon and Ed Currie, Akt London has quickly gained recognition for its high-performance, gender-neutral deodorant balms that emphasize sustainability and efficacy.

The brand’s commitment to eco-friendly practices has resonated with consumers, leading to impressive sales figures. Akt London has sold over 500,000 units globally and received numerous accolades, including recognition at the Oprah Beauty Awards. With the U.S. now accounting for one-third of its business, Akt is poised for significant growth in this lucrative market.

The new funding will be instrumental in enhancing Akt’s retail presence and forming strategic partnerships with major retailers such as Bloomingdale’s and Credo Beauty. The company aims to establish a strong foothold in the U.S. while also eyeing expansion into other territories like Europe and Australia. This geographic diversification will help mitigate risks associated with economic fluctuations in any single market.
