AFRICA NOW: Contemporary African Fashion Takes Over Galeries Lafayette Haussmann

Paris, France – From June 18 to July 8, 2025, Galeries Lafayette Haussmann will host AFRICA NOW, a fashion-forward pop-up store dedicated entirely to showcasing the bold creativity and craftsmanship of contemporary African fashion.
Curated by renowned designer Adama Paris, AFRICA NOW brings together a stellar lineup of designers and organizations shaping the African fashion narrative. Visitors will discover collections where cultural identity meets innovation, featuring elegant, handcrafted garments and accessories infused with Afro-modern aesthetics.
Featured designers include Adama Paris, known for her afro-urban fashion fusing cultural heritage with modern expression; Ibrahim Fernandez, whose sophisticated silhouettes are enriched by bold African prints and couture detailing; Néné Yaya, a luxury leather goods artisan whose work blends refinement with tradition; and Sisters of Afrika, a vibrant, inclusive brand rooted in afro-feminine storytelling. Contributing partners Cannex and Africa Fashion Up will also present a selection of emerging designers, further enriching the experience.

Located on the 3rd floor of Galeries Lafayette Haussmann’s La Coupole area, AFRICA NOW will be open to the public during regular department store hours. The address is 25 rue de la Chaussée d’Antin, 75009 Paris.

To bring this celebration to a close, Adama Paris presents the Black Fashion Experience on Friday, July 11, 2025, at 6:00 PM, a striking runway show staged aboard boats docked at 1 quai de Grenelle, at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. This grand finale will feature designers from the Adama Paris collective alongside six additional talents from across Africa and the diaspora, offering a visual, sonic, and cultural tribute to African elegance in one of the world’s most iconic locations.
