On Tuesday, Balenciaga unveiled its flagship store on JD.com, China’s largest retailer by revenue.
The new flagship store will showcase a wide array of products, including Balenciaga’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection.
Shoppers can expect to find ready-to-wear garments, footwear, bags, small leather goods, and accessories. Notably, JD.com will serve as the exclusive online platform for the launch of Balenciaga’s new Stapler Sneaker, a design inspired by athletic aesthetics.
To celebrate the launch, Balenciaga and JD.com are offering customers the chance to purchase luxury items with up to 24 months of interest-free installments. The brand will also take part in JD.com’s major promotional events, including the upcoming 24 Fall and Singles’ Day campaigns.
This strategic move enhances Balenciaga’s presence in the Chinese market, allowing JD.com’s 600 million customers access to the latest offerings from the brand.
Balenciaga’s entry onto JD.com follows the successful launches of other Kering brands, such as Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, and Qeelin, reinforcing the platform’s role as a key partner for luxury labels.
