Balenciaga opens new São Paulo store in Iguatemi Mall.

Balenciaga picks Iguatemi, a prime shopping location in Brazil, for its newest store.

On Monday, the luxury brand will unveil a spacious 3,230-square-foot boutique in São Paulo. This new store will feature a wide range of products, including men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections, shoes, bags, accessories, eyewear, and jewelry.

The boutique showcases Balenciaga’s unique Raw Architecture concept, which draws inspiration from construction sites and abandoned environments. This design approach emphasizes sustainability by utilizing existing materials, thereby reducing the need for new raw resources.

Inside, the store features brushed concrete floors that mimic the look of sidewalk tiles. The walls and shelving are crafted from untreated concrete slabs, giving the space an open, indoor/outdoor feel. Overhead, you’ll find visible ceiling grids, industrial lighting, and various technical fixtures that enhance the aesthetic. Additionally, the store includes aged aluminum tables and benches that use locally sourced vegan leather alternatives. Other design elements, such as anodized metal accents, underlit shelving, and a light box, contribute to the overall contemporary look.

This new location is owned and operated by Balenciaga and marks the brand’s third store in Brazil. The other two boutiques are situated in another Iguatemi mall in São Paulo and the Village Mall in Rio de Janeiro.
