The collection’s bold designs and nostalgic flair captivated audiences, earning widespread acclaim.
At the historic Park Avenue Armory in New York City, Coach’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection made a bold statement under the creative direction of Stuart Vevers.
This season’s runway show was a testament to Vevers’ ability to blend nostalgia with modernity, capturing the essence of Generation Z’s love for self-expression and individuality.
The collection featured oversized, ultra-baggy bottoms crafted from denim, moleskin, and tailored fabrics. These were paired with shrunken knitwear and outerwear pieces that added a touch of youthful nonchalance to each look. The color palette remained true to Coach’s classic tones of deep tan and subtly faded black but was punctuated by vibrant accents such as leopard prints, metallic knits, and beading.
Outerwear took center stage with repurposed bombers made from recycled materials alongside long shearling trenches and faux leopard fur coats. These pieces not only added texture but also underscored Coach’s commitment to sustainability by incorporating upcycled materials into their designs. The use of distressed details on sweatshirts and vintage negligees brought an old-world charm that resonated well with younger audiences seeking unique expressions.
Leather goods played a significant role in the collection as well. The Twin Pocket Bag made its debut on the runway, a reimagined tribute to an archival design from 1968. Other notable handbags included compact versions of Brooklyn bags crafted from vegetable-tanned Loved Leather adorned with graffiti details inspired by New York City’s artistic vibe.
Footwear was equally captivating with styles ranging from playful stuffed animal slippers to block-heeled loafers and buckle boots. The Soho Sneaker stood out in silver suede and leopard print finishes, each pair designed as a canvas for personal expression through customization options like charms such as pom-poms or jeweled bows.
Vevers emphasized that this collection is about embracing community values while celebrating individuality through fashion choices:
“The foundation of this collection lies in our signature materials… our dedication to upcycling… our conviction in community,” he noted during his presentation.
By blending luxury craftsmanship with sustainable practices like repurposing denim into new garments, Coach reinforced its position as a leader in American fashion.
The runway setting itself transformed into an intimate industrial environment complete with atmospheric lighting effects that recreated downtown New York City streets inside the Park Avenue Armory. Models moved against this backdrop accompanied by live music performed by Nation Language, a fitting ambiance for showcasing how Gen Z can reimagine heritage styles into something fresh yet timeless.
