Dior will showcase its collaboration with the late photographer Peter Lindbergh in a new exhibition featuring previously unseen prints from a Times Square shoot. The exhibition will take place at the Galerie Dior in Paris and will display over 100 images taken between 1988 and 2018, highlighting the dialogue between Lindbergh’s photography and Dior’s iconic designs.
Lindbergh, known for his work on Lady Dior campaigns with Marion Cotillard, captured a memorable 2016 campaign for J’adore Eau Lumière featuring Charlize Theron. For his final project with Dior in 2018, he photographed top models like Alek Wek and Carolyn Murphy wearing vintage Dior pieces against the vibrant backdrop of New York City.
The exhibition, titled “Dior/Lindbergh,” runs from October 17 to May 4. It includes images showcasing models in classic Dior outfits, emphasizing the brand’s rich history and Lindbergh’s distinctive style. A companion book published by Taschen in 2019 further explores this artistic collaboration.
