Edward Enninful is back, and this time, he’s not playing by any of the old rules.
His new media company, EE72, which he launched earlier this year with his sister Akua, is set to shake things up with its first official project: 72 Magazine, a sleek, no-holds-barred digital platform and quarterly print publication launching this September.
Forget safe, polished corporate gloss. EE72 says the magazine will be the core of its creative empire, living at the crossroads of fashion, beauty, luxury, and culture. Think provocative visuals, unapologetic storytelling, and a bold mission to engage global audiences that are tired of being spoon-fed recycled media narratives.
This isn’t your typical fashion mag revival. 72 Magazine is coming in hot with exclusive interviews and deep dives into the real forces moving the creative world. We’re talking culture-pushing, boundary-busting content that isn’t afraid to ruffle a few feathers—or burn down a few silos in the process.
Steering the digital ship is Simone Oliver, ex-BET and Refinery29 heavyweight, now head of content at EE72. She’s teamed up with Sarah Harris—the former British Vogue editor-at-large who knows how to blend edge with elegance—to oversee the editorial across both the mag and the platform. The visual narrative? Handled by design rebels Lee Swillingham and Stuart Spalding of Suburbia, so expect anything but beige.
Edward (Chief Creative Officer) and Akua (CEO) are clear about their intentions: EE72 isn’t just another media startup. It’s a cultural disruptor.
The goal? “To build a platform-first universe where 72 Magazine becomes the anchor for raw, revolutionary storytelling.”
Buckle up. September’s about to get a lot more interesting.
