Ghanaian Artist Nana Kojo Danso Awuah-Asante Collaborates With Off-White for SS25 Collection
In a groundbreaking collaboration, Ghanaian artist Nana Kojo Danso Awuah-Asante, known as Artsoul Kojo, brought his vibrant, storytelling-driven art to Off-White’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection, showcased under the Brooklyn Bridge.
Titled Duty Free, the collection, led by Ibrahim Kamara, reimagined Off-White’s iconic arrow motif through Kojo’s artistic lens. He infused the collection with deep-rooted African symbols that represented freedom, identity, and heritage. Known for his childlike simplicity and geometric shapes, Kojo’s distinctive style added a new layer of meaning and cultural depth to the fashion narrative.
In an interview with GQ South Africa, Kojo noted that the creative process felt natural, as both he and Kamara were aligned in their mission to elevate African stories within a Western fashion context.
For Kojo, this collaboration was more than just a design project; it was an opportunity to bring African narratives to a global stage and position contemporary African art at the forefront of international fashion conversations. “It’s a huge statement,” he reflected, emphasizing the cultural impact of blending streetwear with African heritage.
As African art continues to shape global trends, Kojo’s collaboration with Off-White paves the way for future partnerships that fuse art, fashion, and cultural storytelling, pushing the African narrative to new heights.
