Jimmy Choo has named Chinese actor, singer, and motorcycle racer Wang Yibo as its new global brand ambassador.
Sandra Choi, the creative director at Jimmy Choo, expressed her enthusiasm, stating,
“Wang Yibo possesses a dynamic amount of talent; he’s a multidiscipline creative with an admirable work ethic. He embodies the essence of the Jimmy Choo man—confident and daring, with an inspiring zest for life.”
Wang shared his excitement about joining the Jimmy Choo family, mentioning that he has always admired the creativity and craftsmanship of the collections, which allow him to express his personality and style.
The announcement was accompanied by a campaign shot in Shanghai, featuring Wang showcasing the Diamond Tote, the brand’s latest “It” bag, along with footwear and accessories from the Fall 2024 collection.
Wang began his career as a member of the K-pop boy band Uniq and has since become one of China’s most marketable male stars, boasting over 40 million followers on Weibo. His name has garnered more than 280 billion impressions on the platform and 6.4 billion views on Xiaohongshu.
As a global brand ambassador, Wang joins other notable figures, including Chinese actress and singer Victoria Song and Mi-Yeon of the K-pop group (G)I-dle. He also represents brands like Chanel, Loewe, Lacoste, Shu Uemura, Chinese sportswear giant Anta, and Audi.
