The Biarritz Film Festival – NOUVELLES VAGUES held its 3rd edition from June 24 to 29, 2025, establishing itself as a vibrant celebration of youth, new cinematic voices, and urgent generational narratives. The festival’s core mission is to spotlight youth and the stories of new generations, both in front of and behind the camera, through a program that reflects their hopes, challenges, and creative energy.
An international jury of artists under 35, presided over by Norwegian filmmaker Halfdan Ullmann Tøndel (noted for winning the Caméra d’Or at Cannes), with members including Anamaria Vartolomei, Malick Bodian, Paul Kircher, Sofia Carson, Mallory Wanecque, and directors Ludovic and Zoran Boukherma.
