The Folklore Shop to Launch Global Pop-Up Retail Experience

The Folklore Shop, an e-commerce platform dedicated to diverse, sustainable, and innovative global brands, is set to launch three global consumer retail pop-ups, bringing its curated shopping experience from online to in-person.

Founded and operated by The Folklore Group, which also runs The Folklore—a global membership community for independent brands—the pop-ups will feature brands that are part of this community.

The first pop-up, titled “The Folklore Shop Residency,” will take place from October 17 to 30 at 642 North Western Avenue in Los Angeles. This multilevel design space will showcase over 30 brands across various categories including women’s and men’s apparel, accessories, beauty products, home goods, and wellness items. Featured brands will represent countries such as South Africa, France, Nigeria, Colombia, the U.S., the U.K., and Cameroon.

Following the Los Angeles event, the pop-up will move to SoHo in New York from November 7 to December 1, before heading overseas to Accra from December 26 to January 1.

“It’s an incredibly exciting time for The Folklore,”

said Amira Rasool, founder and CEO.

“With our Shop pop-ups, we’re bringing our online marketplace of global brands to life through immersive in-person shopping experiences featuring diverse and sustainable designs. By curating an impactful selection of fashion, beauty, and home brands, we’re giving consumers in Los Angeles, New York, and Accra the unique opportunity to meet and shop from brands around the world.”

Rasool also mentioned that each pop-up will be enriched with elements of art, music, and culture to create memorable community moments in each city.

In Los Angeles, The Folklore will host events such as a screening of the short film “To End All Spells” on October 26.
