The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has announced the list of nominees and honorees that will be celebrated at this year’s Fashion Awards. Virgil Abloh will be honored with a special posthumous award. This is to acknowledge his many achievements and contributions to the fashion world.
“This year’s nominees reflect the renewed excitement around American fashion generated by designers who are redefining the future of our industry,” CFDA CEO Steven Kolb said.
The event is scheduled for Monday, November 7th at Casa Cipriani in New York City.
Also, this year’s event will celebrate the CFDA’s 60th anniversary. Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez (from Proenza Schouler) will host this event with Aurora James, Joseph Altuzarra, and Gabriela Hearst.
