The Paris Fashion Week Menswear Fall/Winter 2023-2024 shows have been kickstarted by Saint Laurent and six other fashion labels. The event was opened by Tokyo-based KIDILL’s presentation, followed by a Wales Bonner show.
Other fashion houses for the first day were Valette Studio, Egonlab., Iregular, and Études. Saint Laurent closed the day with a glossy collection of expertly evening outfits for men.
The models for Saint Laurent walked in pointed, high-heeled boots, with their turtlenecks pushed up and their overcoat collars turned up. The models were dressed in white shirts with oversized bows or cut low, exposing skin as they made their way beneath the circular dome of Bourse de Commerce while wearing dark trench coats with prominent shoulders.
Closing the show, singer Charlotte Gainsbourg took over with the piano as the room darkened for her to sing with the models going for one more walk.
The Paris Fashion Week’s menswear shows will continue until January 22, 2023. High-end fashion houses like Dior Homme, Givenchy, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, and Maison Margiela are all going to make appearances.
