The Spring/Summer 2023 edition of the London Fashion Week slated to run from September 16 to September 20 might still go on amidst the shock of the queen’s death. The British Fashion Council has released a statement concerning the 5-day fashion event.
In the statement, the British Fashion Council said London Fashion Week shows and presentations could go on. But the BFC also suggested that those events that may coincide with the queen’s funeral should be rescheduled.
Currently, there isn’t a confirmed date for the funeral yet. Thus, any shows or presentations scheduled for the date of the funeral will be rearranged, according to the BFC.
It is not only on the day of the queen’s funeral that events will be put on hold. The day of the coronation of the new king, Prince Charles, will also become a national holiday.
