The final show is held out each year at one of the world’s biggest fashion weeks, with top designers networking with industry knowledge and retailers. Applicants who meet the Application Criteria from around the world are eligible for the International Woolmark Prize and each year, Woolmark Company’s expert Advisory Council examines hundreds of applications to select six finalists. The six finalists will then compete for the Woolmark Prize and Karl Lagerfeld Award. The six global finalists are given about 8 months to create their Woolmark prize collection, with support from the Innovation Academy, a group of like-minded brands supporting emerging designers on a global scale. At the final event, the collections are showcased to an illustrious judging panel and the best man wins.
