Over the weekend, celebrities such Ama K Abebrese , Joselyn Dumas, Stephanie Benson, Michelle Mckinney Hammond and face of Fedility Bank Blondy Otu amongst others modeled at the first ever glamour soiree event held at the Villa Monticello.
The Glamour Soiree, an initiative by the Creative Director, Lola Owulabi of UK leading fabric brand Inspired Beauty by Lola in collaboration with one of Ghana’s haute couture red carpet designer Vanessa Harrison of VH Mode.
Packed with a night of glitz, pure elegance and sparkles, attendees were treated to a glamourous fashion show by VH Mode’s “Baroque Era Haute Couture Collection” which was filled with extravagant effect featured in the glittering and luxurious fabrics, patterns and colorful fabrics made from Inspired Beauty by Lola.
Celebrities modeled in gold-adorn gowns showing orientalism with inspirational flowing embroidered finery clearly exploring the beauty and splendor of the designs.
Speaking at the event, Vanessa Harrison said “Glamour Soiree was created to exhibit the exquisite handcrafted fabrics by Inspired by Beauty UK and the alluring designs made out of these designs”
She stated that Glamour Soiree serves as the platform to showcase her creations on fuller figure models more away from the conventional skinny models we are used to.
Vanessa added “I am inspired by the people I design for as I project them to be comfortable, confident and happy with whatever they wear irrespective of their body size.”
There were beautiful performances from Stephanie Benson, Faith Bekoe and the young acoustic performer David Addo Gyan.
Organizers are optimistic about subsequent events as this first event attracted many influential people from the lifestyle and fashion industry.
